Summer on the Hudson: The Hourglass - A Tribute to Water

Saturday, July 12, 2025

3:00 p.m.7:00 p.m.

As part of City of Water Day, come experience the sound of water slipping away—one turn at a time. Visit The Hourglass, a large interactive public sculpture about water scarcity by Art Students League artist Patricia Espinosa.

Meet the artist, learn how the sculpture was conceived, built, and made interactive, and take part in a hands-on workshop to create your own Rain Stick. This is a Works in Public event presented in partnership with the Art Students League of New York

Access to the 145th Street lawn via Riverbank State Park is currently closed. Guests should enter the Park at 148th Street and Riverside Drive, or via the Denny Farrell Pedestrian Bridge at 151st Street (accessible).
