Beginning Monday, July 7 through Friday, August 22, 2025, the gymnasium, dance room, and track at the Constance Baker Motley Recreation Center will be closed for NYC Parks Summer Camp operations from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Recreation Center members will have access to center and these areas during the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The gymnasium, dance room, and track will reopen to members and the public on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Beginning Monday, June 23, 2025 the indoor pool at Constance Baker Motley Recreation Center will have reduced hours for the duration of this summer.

Dance Room

Zumba Gold® offers a low-impact workout set to a fusion of Latin, International and popular music dance themes, creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that challenge both the heart and muscles. With fun music and easy-to-follow steps, you can’t go wrong!

Participants must sign in at the front desk and bring locks to lock up their bags. The center does not allow anyone to bring their bags to the dance room except: towel, water and phone.

STRONG Nation® combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move. Every squat, every lunge, every burpee is driven by the music, helping you make it to that last rep, and maybe even five more. Mats are available for those who need one.
