Volunteer Workday: St. Nicholas Miracle Garden
Thursday, July 24, 2025
10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
GreenThumb community gardens are developed, led, and cared for by dedicated volunteers who critically upkeep community gardens as public green spaces.
St. Nicholas Miracle Garden is an active community garden located on a bustling corridor in Central Harlem committed to community engagement, food access and security, and environmental stewardship. The garden operates a weekly Farm Stand and CSA and productive greenhouse, and provides internship and volunteer opportunities which contributes to the their overall success.
Join us for a hands-on volunteer day to restore and paint the garden's benches, tables, and stadium seating. If you're an artist, creative person, or simply enjoy art in the gardens, we hope to see you there! Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and bring water and snacks. Note: Some tasks may involve lifting heavy materials and extended periods of bending, squatting, and moving.
Please register in advance as space is limited.
This event is co-hosted by NYC Parks GreenThumb. We are proud to be the nation’s largest urban community gardening program, sustaining over 550 gardens throughout New York City.
